Arts Access Aotearoa will be visiting Taranaki on Wednesday 2nd September for the Arts For All Taranaki Network hui, at the TSB Showplace, New Plymouth, from 10 am.

Following the morning hui is a front of house accessibility training also facilitated by Katie. Through interactive scenarios, this three-hour workshop explores ableism and disability language and concepts, meeting access needs, handling complaints, and solving access clashes and complex situations involving disability in performing arts events. The workshop is designed for front of house and customer-facing staff, teams and managers in performing arts and live events, to better welcome Deaf and disabled audiences. Check out our story about the recent training sessions in the South Island.

The workshop will be at TSB Showplace in the same accessible space as the regional hui. Unfortunately, NZSL interpreters are not available for this workshop.

Registration is essential. Please register via Humanitix at the ticket link.

Thanks to the generous support of New Plymouth District Council and New Plymouth Events Venues, this workshop is available to Taranaki residents at no cost. If you'd like to register for both the hui and the training session, please register for both.
