Trustee nominations

Creative Taranaki is always interested in hearing from people who are passionate about supporting and strengthening Taranaki's creative community.

​

Our Board of Trustees plays an important role in guiding the organisation's strategic direction, advocating for the creative sector and helping ensure Creative Taranaki continues to grow and thrive.

We welcome expressions of interest from people with a diverse range of skills, experiences and perspectives.

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be valuable:

  • Governance

  • Law

  • Business

  • Marketing and communications

  • Finance

  • Arts and cultural management

  • Māori entrepreneurship

  • Strategic planning

 

Knowledge of tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori and te reo Māori is highly valued, and we encourage applications from people who can help strengthen our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Serving on the Creative Taranaki Trust is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the future of arts and culture in our region.

 

As a trustee, you'll help to:

  • Shape the future of Creative Taranaki

  • Champion the arts and creative sector

  • Support artists, organisations and communities

  • Build relationships across local, regional and national networks

  • Contribute your skills while gaining valuable governance experience

 

Being a trustee is a voluntary governance role requiring approximately two hours per week, including regular Board meetings and occasional events.

Trustees contribute to:

  • Governance and strategic leadership

  • Strategic planning and decision-making

  • Advocacy for the creative sector

  • Building partnerships and relationships across the region

 

We're always keen to hear from people who share our vision for a thriving creative community.

  • Your experience serving on a board, committee or trust.

  • The skills and knowledge you could bring to Creative Taranaki, particularly in areas such as governance, law, business, marketing, finance, arts and cultural management, Māori entrepreneurship, strategic planning or the creative sector.

Your experience working with, or representing, diverse communities. This may include Māori, Pacific peoples, other ethnic communities, disabled communities, rural communities, rangatahi (young people) or older people.

Anything else you'd like us to know about yourself, your interests or why you'd like to become a trustee.
