While we work to secure collective funding for our region with a Regional Arts Strategy, we can advise you on how to access funding for your particular project.

There are a number of organisations who can support on regional, national and international levels. Let us help connect you and navigate the path with the agencies below.

  • District councils

    Support initiatives with direct wider community impact, including socio-cultural, Te Ao Māori, and CBD vibrancy.

  • Toi Foundation

    Offer Annual, Capital, Programme and Event, and Individual grants to not-for-profit organisations, as well as seed funding and scaling support for high impact initiatives and innovations. Find out more here

  • Manatū Taonga

    Currently manage the arts recovery fund, a range of channels to support small to large projects in the innovation space, needing capability building, enhancing Toi Māori, and supporting creative organisations impacted by Covid 19. Find out more here

  • Venture Taranaki

    Manages the regional events fund, and support initiatives to promote regional tourism and economic development. Find out more here

  • Creative NZ

    Funds projects such as research, exhibition production, creation of plays and novels and so much more. Find out more here

  • Creative Communities Scheme

    Facilitated by each district council, this fund supports smaller community projects; events, group exhibitions, music videos, recordings, and more. The creative license is yours, the pillars of priority are Community involvement, Diversity, and Young people.

    Fund the recording and promotion of single songs, multi-song projects and video content to help connect great NZ songs with NZ audiences. Find out more here

  • The Regional Arts Network Aotearoa (RANA)

    Represents regional arts with national government, implementing funding mechanisms and initiatives/projects on behalf. Learn more here
